CT Speed Dating is a fun, new and exciting way for singles to meet up to twenty other singles in one evening! We provide a safe, upbeat and comfortable atmosphere at our events. CT Speed Dating is affiliated with The Single Event and both organizations share the same EVENTS calendar, reservation system and secure credit card processing system. A. CT Speed Dating is a fun, new and exciting way for singles to meet up to twenty other singles in one evening! We provide a safe, upbeat and comfortable atmosphere where single men and women meet and engage in a series of "seven minute dates". When you hear "the bell" it's your signal to move on to your next "seven minute date"! It is definitely a fun night out! Q. Who participates in CT Speed Dating events? A. Active, busy single people who are interested in meeting other single people "live and in-person".
A. Meeting the right person can be difficult. The demands of work and family leave little time for dating. When you meet and talk with someone in person you can tell very quickly if there is "a little chemistry". After seven minutes you definitely know whether or not you would like to spend more time with that person! If the feeling is mutual, we provide both people with contact information. After that, it's up to you. At our events you will meet up to twenty other single people of the opposite sex in one evening! A. In popular upbeat, upscale restaurants and lounges throughout CT. There are opportunities to "meet and mingle" before the event, during the break and after the event.
A. First of all, arrive on time. Our host will provide you with a name tag (first names only!). You will also be assigned an ID number. We provide you with a pen and a "scorecard". Women are seated at numbered tables. Women remain seated. "At the bell" men navigate through a carefully orchestrated, systematically designed maze of tables and chairs (Can't wait to see that, right?) at intervals of seven minutes. (See! You're already having fun!) At the bell "start dating". After each date discreetly mark your scorecard with a comment or two and a "Yes" or "No" indicating whether or not you are interested in contacting that person again. By the end of the event you have had up to twenty "seven minute dates"! At the end of the event give the CT Speed Dating host your completed scorecard. When there is a "match", meaning that both people indicated "Yes", CT Speed Dating will contact both people within 48 hours via email or phone and provide contact information. No match, no contact. Q. What kinds of questions should I ask?
A. We will provide you with printed information at the event with some ideas and suggestions. Some questions are not allowed. Please do not ask anyone for his or her contact information. This includes last name, phone number, email address, residence address and address of employment. Please do not ask for or give out a business card. You may ask what kind of work they do. You may ask the name of the town or city where they live. You are not allowed to ask for a date. No inappropriate questions or behavior will be permitted. Please be polite and respectful! Q. Are there a lot of "matches".
A. Yes. The majority of people who attend make "matches". Come relaxed, looking good and expecting to have a great time. Come alone or with a friend or two. Our host will be there to greet you. It will definitely be a new and unique experience! Q. What are the age ranges of your events? A. Each event is planned with an age range of ten to twelve years. Extending the age range a year or two either way is usually okay. CT Speed Dating plans events for different age groups. Q. Do I need to register and make a reservation in advance? A. Yes. Space is limited. CT Speed Dating events fill up quickly and do sell out. Having an equal number of men and women at each event is necessary. Please make your reservations early! Q. How do I register and make a reservation?
A. Please make your reservations on-line. Go to the EVENTS calendar page… click on the event you would like to attend… review the information… click on "make a reservation"… enter the required information… be sure to indicate which event you would like to attend… click on "continue" and enter your information on our secure credit card processing page… click on "submit". You will receive an email confirmation. It's easy. Our credit card processing system is secure. You may also make a reservation by mailing a check to our office. Please feel free to call our office for confirmation and information. Q. What if I have to cancel my reservation? A. Please call our office within three business days of the scheduled event for a full refund. Q. What else can you tell me about CT Speed Dating?
